Location

The Fateh/Fateh Southwest/Falah oil and gas fields are located offshore in the United Arab Emirates, within the territorial waters of the Emirate of Dubai. Specifically, the Fateh field is approximately 60 miles (97 km) from Dubai[3|.

Discovery and Production

• Fateh Field: Discovered in 1966, with production starting in 1969. This field was notable for the introduction of the world's first underwater oil storage facility, known as "Khazzan," completed in 1969.
• Southwest Fateh Field: Discovered in 1972, with production beginning in 1975.

Field Details

Fateh Field

• Managed by Dubai Petroleum Establishment.
• Significant gas discoveries were made in 2014 during deep gas exploration.

Southwest Fateh Field

• Consists of 23 platforms, including 13 satellite wellhead platforms and 10 bridge-linked central complex platforms.
• Production from satellite wells flows via sub-sea lines to the South West Fateh central complex, then to the Fateh field for further separation and storage.
• Gas is processed and used as lift gas and fuel gas.
• The field includes seawater treatment and injection facilities providing high-pressure water to satellite well platforms.

Falah Field

• Operated by Dubai Petroleum Establishment as part of the Fateh/Fateh Southwest/Falah project.
• Located in shallow water with a depth of approximately 165 feet within the Duma Concession block.

Production and Reserves

• The combined fields of Falah, Fateh, Rashid, and Southwest Fateh have recovered 96.95% of their total recoverable reserves, with peak production achieved in 1980. Production is expected to continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2038.
• Currently, the fields account for approximately 1% of the UAE's daily oil output.

Infrastructure
