Location and Geology

The Lochranza field is situated in the Quad 15 area of the North Sea, within blocks 15/20a and 15/20b.

Operational Details

• The Lochranza field is operated by NEO Energy Production UK Ltd, with NEO holding 100% equity in the field.
• The field is tied back to the Global Producer III (GPIII) Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel via subsea manifolds. This setup is shared with the nearby Dumbarton and Balloch fields, all of which are part of the Quad 15 area.

Development and Production

• The field was developed using advanced seismic amplitude analysis and evolving conceptual geological models. This approach helped in making small hydrocarbon accumulations economically viable.
• The original development utilized an innovative single-well oil production system, which was crucial for the economic viability of the field.

Infrastructure

• The production from the Lochranza field is processed on the GPIII FPSO. This FPSO serves as a central processing facility for the Quad 15 area fields, including Dumbarton and Balloch.

Current Status

• The Lochranza field is currently in production, with ongoing operations managed by NEO Energy. The field continues to contribute to the overall production output of NEO Energy in the UK North Sea.
