Location

The Nooros project is situated in the Nile delta region of Egypt, northeast of Alexandria. It encompasses both onshore and offshore operations.

Production and Discovery

The project was discovered in July and brought into production remarkably quickly, with the first gas extracted, processed, and put on the market just two months after the discovery. This rapid time to market was facilitated by the reuse of existing infrastructure.

The Nooros project involves the production of natural gas from several fields, with the largest share coming from the Abu Madi West concession. The project includes the use of existing infrastructure, as well as the construction of new wells and a new pipeline to transport larger quantities of gas to the El Gamil processing plant. As of the reports, Nooros' production has reached significant levels:

• Production initially reached 128,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day, with Eni's share being 67,000 boe per day.
• The project later achieved a production rate of 215,000 boe per day.
