Tambaú

Location

The Tambaú field is located in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil, in deepwater areas.

Operator and Ownership

Originally, the Tambaú field was operated by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). However, in recent years, Enauta acquired the Tambaú and Uruguá fields, along with the FPSO Cidade de Santos MV20, from Petrobras.

Field Characteristics

• The Tambaú field is a producing conventional gas field, but it also produces oil.
• It is situated in deepwater, approximately 1,300 meters below the sea surface.

Production Facilities

• The production from the Tambaú and Uruguá fields is handled by the FPSO Cidade de Santos MV20.
• This FPSO is capable of processing 350 million cubic feet per day of gas and 25,000 barrels of oil per day. It has a storage capacity of approximately 700,000 barrels.

Production and Processing

• The FPSO processes more gas than oil, making it the first such FPSO in Brazil.
• The natural gas processed is delivered through an 18-inch gas pipeline to the Mexilhão field, which is about 170 km away from the Uruguá field.

Contract and Operations

• The FPSO Cidade de Santos MV20 is under a 12-year lease contract with three one-year extension options.
• MODEC owns and operates the FPSO, with the contract including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Operation, and Maintenance (EPCI + Time Charter).

Historical and Current Status

• The FPSO began operations in July 2010.
• As of recent updates, Enauta has acquired the fields and the FPSO, integrating these assets into their portfolio. This acquisition is expected to offer potential synergies with Enauta's other projects, such as the Atlanta field in the Santos Basin.

Future Plans

• Enauta is focusing on optimizing the production from the acquired fields and exploring potential expansion campaigns and technological sharing with their other assets in the region.
