Kolkata Port, officially known as Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, is among the oldest operating ports in India. Named after the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the port is strategically positioned on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River.
