Vessel Description

ORASILA is a double-ended ro-pax passenger and vehicle ferry operating on the Rødby–Puttgarden route across the Fehmarn Belt in the western Baltic Sea, one of the busiest ferry crossings in Europe. The vessel was built at Aker Yards in Gdynia, Poland and entered service with Scandlines in 2006. As a double-ended ferry, she is capable of loading and unloading vehicles from both bow and stern, enabling efficient turnaround operations on the short crossing. She is equipped to carry both passenger vehicles and freight vehicles, along with several hundred passengers. The vessel operates alongside sister ships on this high-frequency route and is designed for the specific navigational and operational demands of the Fehmarn Belt crossing.
