Vessel Description
The Grampian Corsair is a platform supply vessel (PSV) designed and operated primarily in support of offshore oil and gas installations in the North Sea. Built in 2007 at Astilleros Zamakona shipyard in Spain, the vessel was delivered to the Grampian fleet and has operated under the management of North Star Shipping following the rebranding of Grampian Shipping operations. Equipped with dynamic positioning class 2 (DP2) capability, the vessel is suited for precision station-keeping during offshore cargo transfer operations. Its diesel-electric propulsion system and azimuth thruster configuration provide both operational efficiency and manoeuvrability in the demanding environmental conditions characteristic of the North Sea. The vessel is registered under the UK flag and is based out of Aberdeen, Scotland, a principal hub for North Sea offshore support services.
