Vessel Description

The Stena Hollandica is a large Ro-Pax (Roll-on/Roll-off Passenger) ferry operated by Stena Line on the North Sea route between Hook of Holland (Rotterdam), Netherlands and Harwich, England. Delivered in 2010, she is one of the largest ferries operating on the North Sea and was considered one of the most advanced ferries in the world at the time of her commissioning.

The vessel features a diesel-electric propulsion system driven by ABB Azipod azimuthing thruster units, providing exceptional maneuverability without the need for traditional tugboat assistance during port operations. This configuration also contributes to improved fuel efficiency.

Onboard facilities include multiple restaurants and bars, retail shopping, a cinema, children's play areas, and a wide selection of cabin accommodations ranging from reclining seats to premium en-suite cabins. The vessel is designed to accommodate both leisure passengers and freight traffic, offering approximately 5,500 lane meters of cargo space.

The Stena Hollandica plays a significant role in freight logistics between the UK and continental Europe, and continues to serve as a flagship vessel within the Stena Line fleet. Her sister vessel, the Stena Britannica, operates on the same route.
