Vessel Description

The MORGENSTER is a historic Dutch three-masted topsail schooner built in 1919, making her one of the older operational tall ships in Europe. Constructed in the Netherlands with a steel hull, she has been preserved and maintained as a working sail training vessel operated by Stichting Morgenster, a Dutch non-profit foundation.

The vessel operates as a sail training and voyage charter ship, offering berths to paying trainees and voyage crew who participate actively in sailing the ship. She is a regular participant in international tall ship events and races, representing Dutch maritime heritage.

The MORGENSTER is notable for her traditional schooner rigging and her role in promoting seafaring skills and maritime education among young sailors and adults across European and Atlantic waters. Her operational profile includes coastal European cruising as well as more demanding offshore and transatlantic voyages.

Note: Users should verify current operational status, ownership details, and technical specifications against official maritime registries such as Lloyd's Register, Equasis, or the Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate, as vessel data may have been updated subsequent to available records.
