Vessel Description

The vessel is a modern offshore patrol vessel (OPV) built for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as part of its contribution to European maritime security. Despite Luxembourg being a landlocked country, the vessel was acquired to fulfill obligations under EU and NATO frameworks, particularly in support of Operation SOPHIA and related Mediterranean maritime security missions. The vessel is equipped for search and rescue, patrol, and surveillance operations, and represents Luxembourg's commitment to collective European defense and security at sea.
