Vessel Description
STORM is a US-flagged articulated tug and barge (ATB) or harbor/ocean tug operated by Crowley Maritime Corporation, one of the largest marine transportation and logistics companies in the United States. Built at Eastern Shipbuilding Group in Panama City, Florida, and delivered in 2015, the vessel is designed for harbor assist, escort, and coastal towing operations.
Equipped with azimuth stern drive (ASD) thruster technology, Storm offers high maneuverability and bollard pull capability, making it well-suited for ship-assist operations in confined port environments as well as open-water towing assignments. The vessel operates under US Coast Guard regulations and is outfitted with standard Class A AIS and GMDSS communications equipment consistent with its operational profile.
Note: Some technical specifications and operational details may be subject to change or confirmation against the vessel's official classification records. Users are advised to verify current data through official sources such as the USCG Marine Information for Safety and Law Enforcement (MISLE) database, Lloyd's Register, or IHS Sea-web.
