Vessel Description
ENERGY PROMETHEUS is a Moss-type LNG carrier featuring four spherical cargo tanks and operating under the Maran Gas Maritime fleet, part of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group. Built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' Nagasaki shipyard in Japan, the vessel is designed for the transportation of liquefied natural gas across major international LNG trade routes. The Moss containment system, a design pioneered and associated with Mitsubishi construction, provides structural integrity for cryogenic LNG cargo maintained at approximately -163°C. The vessel operates under the Panama flag and is engaged in worldwide LNG transportation activities.
