Vessel Description

The Harvey Champion is a U.S.-flagged offshore supply vessel (OSV) operated by Harvey Gulf International Marine, one of the leading OSV operators in the Gulf of Mexico. Built in 2012 by Eastern Shipbuilding Group in Panama City, Florida, the vessel is designed to support offshore oil and gas exploration and production operations on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf.

The vessel is equipped with Dynamic Positioning Class 2 (DP-2) capability, enabling station-keeping operations in support of deepwater drilling and production platforms without the need for anchoring. This makes the Harvey Champion well-suited for deepwater and ultra-deepwater supply missions.

As part of the Harvey Gulf fleet, the vessel is configured to transport deck cargo, bulk liquids, dry bulk commodities, fuel, water, and mud to offshore installations. Its large deck area and significant deadweight tonnage capacity allow for efficient logistics support to offshore facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Harvey Champion operates under USCG certification and complies with applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations governing offshore supply vessels, maintaining full GMDSS communications capability and standard marine navigation systems.
