The vessel is capable of self-loading through drag arms and self-unloading through a bottom dump or pump-out system. ESSAYONS has served the USACE for decades and represents a vital asset in the agency's dredging and waterway maintenance operations. The vessel is named in honor of the motto of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, a French phrase meaning "Let Us Try."
