Vessel Description

BOBCAT is a conventional harbor and coastal towing vessel operated by Signet Maritime Corporation, one of the largest tug and barge operators in the United States Gulf Coast region. Built in 2011 by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland, the vessel is designed for harbor assist, ship docking, and offshore towing operations. The vessel supports commercial port operations along the Gulf Coast, assisting deep-draft vessels in port entry, departure, and berthing maneuvers. As part of Signet's Gulf Coast fleet, BOBCAT operates primarily in and around Texas and Louisiana port facilities, including the Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas area waterways.
