Vessel Description

Leda Maersk is a post-Panamax container vessel built in 2000 at the Odense Steel Shipyard in Denmark, one of the premier Danish shipyards historically associated with the Maersk Group. She is part of the S-class (or comparable generation) of Maersk container vessels delivered around the turn of the millennium, designed to carry approximately 8,160 TEU.

With a length of over 318 metres and a beam of nearly 43 metres, she is a large container ship capable of operating across major deep-sea trade corridors. Registered under the Hong Kong flag, she is owned and operated under the A.P. Møller - Mærsk umbrella, one of the world's largest integrated shipping and logistics companies.

The vessel is equipped with a high-powered MAN B&W main engine, enabling service speeds competitive with major liner trades. As with all vessels in the Maersk fleet, she operates in compliance with international conventions including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code standards.

Note: Some technical specifications, particularly propulsion details and exact capacity figures, should be verified against official class records (Lloyd's Register / DNV) as minor variations may exist across sources.
