Vessel Description

Energean Power is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit purpose-built for natural gas and condensate production at the Karish field in the Eastern Mediterranean, located within Israel's Exclusive Economic Zone. The vessel was constructed by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry in Zhoushan, China, and delivered to Energean plc in 2021. It represents one of the most significant offshore energy infrastructure assets in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

The unit is designed with a production capacity of approximately 8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas per year and has condensate storage capability. The FPSO is permanently moored using a turret mooring system suited to the deep-water environment of approximately 1,750 meters at the Karish site. Gas produced from the field is primarily supplied to the Israeli domestic market under long-term sales agreements, playing a key strategic role in Israel's energy transition and security of gas supply. Energean Power serves as the central processing hub for the Karish and Tanin fields operated by Energean Israel Limited.
