Vessel Description
MARTE is a Brazilian-flagged platform supply vessel operating in support of offshore oil and gas exploration and production activities in Brazilian waters. Built in 1998 at the Mauá Jurong Shipyard in Brazil, the vessel is operated by Petrobras in support of offshore installations primarily within the Campos and Santos Basins. Equipped with dynamic positioning capabilities, MARTE is able to maintain precise station-keeping during cargo transfer and supply operations to offshore platforms without the use of anchoring systems. The vessel is designed to carry a range of deck cargo, liquid mud, dry bulk, potable water, and fuel oil in support of drilling and production platform requirements. As part of the Petrobras offshore logistics fleet, the vessel plays a key operational role in sustaining continuous supply chain support to deepwater assets in the South Atlantic.
