Vessel Description

Andre Reboucas is a Brazilian-flagged oil/chemical tanker built in 2010 at the EISA shipyard in Brazil as part of a fleet renewal and expansion program by Transpetro, the logistics and transport subsidiary of Petrobras. The vessel is engaged in coastal cabotage operations, transporting petroleum products along the Brazilian coast. She is named in honor of André Rebouças, a notable 19th-century Brazilian engineer and abolitionist. The vessel represents part of Brazil's strategic investment in domestic shipbuilding capacity and energy logistics infrastructure under the PROMEF (Programa de Modernização e Expansão da Frota) program initiated by Transpetro.
