Vessel Description
SIDDIS SAILOR is a medium-sized Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) designed and built specifically for offshore support operations in Brazilian waters. Constructed at the Aker Promar shipyard in Niterói, Brazil, the vessel was delivered in 2008 as part of a series of vessels built to support Petrobras offshore operations. Equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system, the vessel is capable of maintaining precise station-keeping during cargo transfers and offshore supply runs without the need for anchoring. Her design incorporates a large open cargo deck aft for the transport of dry and liquid bulk cargo, drilling consumables, and equipment to offshore platforms. Operating under the management of Siem Offshore, a Norwegian offshore shipping company with a significant presence in South America, the vessel has been a consistent participant in the supply chain supporting Brazil's pre-salt and post-salt oil field developments.
