The Fujian Putian Shicheng Fishing Offshore Wind Farm is located in Xinghua Bay, Fujian Province, China.
Project Overview
This is a 200MW offshore wind power project, developed in multiple phases. The project construction commenced in 2019 and it entered into commercial operation in July 2021.
Ownership
The project is owned by several companies:
- Fujian Funeng New Energy: 51% ownership stake
- Strait Power Generation: 39% ownership stake
- Xiamen Huaxia International Power Development: 10% ownership stake.
Development and Construction
The project was developed by Fujian Sanchuan Offshore Wind Power. The construction began in 2019 and was completed to the point of commercial operation by July 2021.
Wind Turbines and Foundations
The wind farm is equipped with wind turbines from Shanghai Electric Wind Power Equipment:
- Phase I: 26 turbines of the SWT-7.0-154 model, each with a 7MW nameplate capacity.
- Phase II: 3 turbines of the SWT-6.0-154 model, each with a 6MW nameplate capacity. Both phases use fixed foundations, specifically an array of monopile foundations.
Electricity Generation and Environmental Impact
The project generates approximately 620,000 MWh of electricity annually. This electricity production helps offset about 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
