Project Name

Location

• The project is located in the Bohai Sea, Shandong, China.

Developer and Owner

• The project is being developed by Three Gorges New Energy Shandong Changyi Power Generation.
• It is currently owned by China Three Gorges New Energy with a 100% stake.

Capacity and Turbines

• The overall project has a planned capacity of 702 MW.
• Phase 1 of the project, referred to as Shandong Changyi Laizhou Bay Phase I, will consist of 50 turbines, each with a 6MW nameplate capacity. The entire project will include 67 turbines in total.

Foundation and Interconnection

• The turbines will be mounted on fixed-type foundations.
• The turbines will be interconnected by 35kV inter-array cables.

Development Status

• The project construction was expected to commence in 2022.
• It was anticipated to enter into commercial operation by December 2022, although the current status might be partially active as it is being developed in multiple phases.

Environmental Impact

• The project is expected to generate 175,000 MWh of electricity annually.
• This will help offset approximately 1,100,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per year.
