The Yangjiang Qingzhou III offshore wind farm is located off the coast of Yangjiang City, in the Shaba, Yangxi area of Guangdong Province, China. The exact coordinates are 21.3201°N, 111.489°E.

Project Details

• Status: The wind farm is currently operational.

Turbines and Infrastructure

• Turbine Models: The wind farm is equipped with 37 MingYang MySE6.8-158 turbines and 30 MingYang MySE8.3-180 turbines, supplied by MingYang Smart Energy under a contract from 2020.
• Subsea Cables: The project includes 75 kilometers of 220 kV and 142 kilometers of 35 kV XLPE subsea cables provided by Ningbo Orient Cable (NBO) under a contract valued at approximately EUR 160 million.
• Offshore Substation: The wind farm features a 220 kV offshore substation, from which the power generated by the wind turbines is transferred to land.

The project was developed by China Huadian Corporation.
