Location

The CTGNE Yangjiang Shapa - Phase I wind farm is located in the South China Sea, approximately 28 kilometers off Shapa Town, Yangxi County, Yangjiang City, in the Guangdong Province of China.

Project Details

  • Owner and Developer: The project is owned and developed by China Three Gorges New Energy, a subsidiary of the Three Gorges Group.
  • Capacity: The wind farm has an installed capacity of 300-302.5 MW, depending on the source.

Turbines and Infrastructure

  • Number of Turbines: The project comprises 55 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5.5 MW.
  • Foundation and Installation: The wind farm uses monopile foundations. The first monopile foundation was installed in April, and the offshore booster station was placed on its jacket foundation by the end of August 2019. The first wind turbine was installed by the end of September 2019.

Area and Water Depth
