Location

• The wind farm is located in the Lingding Sea, near Zhuhai in Guangdong Province, China. The approximate coordinates for Phase 1 are 22.1053, 113.7132 (WGS 84).

Status and Commissioning

• Phase 1 of the project is fully operational. Construction began in September 2016, and the facility started generating electricity on March 13, 2018. It was fully commissioned in 2018.

Owner and Operator

• The project is owned by China Southern Power Grid Company LTD (南方电网综合能源股份有限公司), with 100% ownership.
• The operator is Southern Offshore Wind Power Development CO LTD (南方海上风电联合开发有限公司).

Turbines and Capacity

• Phase 1 consists of 34 wind turbines, each with a nameplate capacity of 3 MW. These turbines are manufactured by China Ming Yang Wind Power Group, specifically the SCD 3.0MW model.
• The total nameplate capacity for Phase 1 is 120 MW.

Foundation Type

• The wind turbines in Phase 1 are installed on fixed foundations, featuring an array of jacket foundations.

Electricity Generation and Environmental Impact

• The wind farm generates approximately 266,000 MWh of electricity per year.
