Registered under the Portuguese flag in the Madeira International Ship Register (MAR) and carrying Call Sign CQEF5, the vessel was constructed at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) yard in South Korea and delivered in 2013.

With a gross tonnage of approximately 141,526 GT and a deadweight of around 141,098 DWT, the vessel falls within the Post-Panamax / New-Panamax class of container ships, with a capacity in the region of 13,100 TEU.
